Spiritual Check-Up With 7 Questions

When was the last time you checked in on the spiritual health of your family?

When was the last time you asked your spouse or your children about their relationship with God?

When was the last time your car ride or dinnertime conversations focused on the deep hurts, needs, and joys of one another?

In order to encourage some grace-filled talks this week, let me offer 7 Questions to ask your family throughout the coming days. These are questions you can ask in the course of the natural rhythms of your week, as you drive your kids to school, cook dinner, get your kids ready for bed, or work in the backyard on Saturday morning.

My prayer is that these will open up opportunities for your family to open up while allowing you to check in on the spiritual health of your home.

7 QUESTIONS:

(1) What are you most thankful for this week?

(2) What is your greatest prayer this week?

(3) What has caused you the most hurt lately?

(4) What has brought you the most joy lately?

(5) How would you describe your relationship with God right now?

(6) What is one thing you would like to see the Lord change in your life?

(7) What sin have you been struggling with lately?

As your family shares their hearts, lead them to the Lord by allowing them to see their days through the lens of Scripture and by praying with and for them. Share Bible verses that speak to where they are and then show them how to bring all of this before the Lord in prayer.
